I'm back
And, Fall is coming.
The first day of fall is usually a celebration in our house. Fall decor is taken from the attic and set up, a trip to the apple stand is in store, and a yummy pumpkin is purchased. Even after this, however, days of heat are eminent, but it is a pleasant reminder that fall is here. So I know that it’s early yet, and that it’s still summertime, and that the heat isn’t over, but I thought we might have a little recognition for the “whispers” of fall that have only just begun. Have you taken a relaxing walk to-day? Or a pleasant bike-ride? Or paused to breathe the fresh air? Even as simple an act as looking out the window at God's creation can help bring on gratitude and happiness. (Especially if you have trees outside that are beginning to lose their leaves in a fallish way.) A suggestion would be to pause and take a moment to thank God for this time of changing seasons, and for the variety created in nature, for it is a fine thing indeed that the whole of the year is not made up of one season, even if that season was a pleasant one. I think the contrast between summer and fall is part of what makes the change so special! But at any rate, I'm sorry that this blog post is short, but I woke up this morning with the thermometer reading "68", and I was therefore eager to celebrate. Happy September everyone!
Great Post!
